Currently chicken penyet many found in Indonesia, Malaysia, Brunei and Singapore. CNN's Catherine Ling describes chicken penyet as one of our "40 Singaporean foods can not live without it". [2] His popularity has recently spiked across Southeast Asia, where franchise chains have opened up serving sales alongside other Indonesian specialties.
It is also known for its spicy sauce, made with a mixture of chili, salted fish, tomatoes, onions, garlic, shrimp paste, tamarind and lime juice. Like the art, the mixture is then ground into a paste to be eaten with the dish.
