As a business owner, it is necessary to develop a comprehensive plan in order to remain afloat in business and also attend long-term success. This can only be done through BUSINESS STRATEGY where you can craft out different strategies to sustain the business most especially when it comes decision making, risk management, your direction and focus. All these are linked with how the business owner manage customers' services, professional hiring, expansion plans, aggressive/ soft marketing strategies.

Customer Support

Customer support is one of the must important part of business where the owner needs to apply empathy and apologize with politeness when necessary. It is hard to satisfy customers, I experience this daily in my business. Most customers are hard to deal but with good approach, you can always provide solutions to their problems. Last month, I worked on my customer's hairs ( about three hairs), few weeks later after my delivery, she sent me a message via WhatsApp complaining about the closure I ventilated for her. I apologized before advising her on how to handle her hairs especially where she store them and also to be careful when combing because the net used in closure ventilation is very fragile.

I also give a general advise to my customers on how to keep their wigs free from dryness and dust;

• After wearing your wig out, detangle by combing properly
• Get a wig bag, nylon or ziplock bag
• Put the wigs inside and keep in a safe corner
• This will help it retain moisture

I always try to make sure that my customers are satisfied with the services render and always eager to get feedback from them.

Sometimes, when I can't send direct messages to everyone at the same, I will just post on my status or story stating that; they are free to talk about my services by replying to my WhatsApp status and many will gladly engage.

Professional Hiring

I have big dreams about my business which is why I am pushing so hard to make that dream come to reality. When this time comes, I will definitely love to hire professionals who will be in charge of different department in my industry. Hair business is very large, demanding and I won't be able to handle the growth all alone. I will need stylist, closure ventilators, cashier and wig makers while I concentrate on managing and pushing the business to greater height.

Expansion Plan

I work from home currently, the first expansion plan on my list is getting a large space more like a salon for my customers.

The second step to expand my business is getting license for my brand and products. I want my shop to be a place where customers can walk in and get all their desired items. Everything hair related will be found in my shop and all the services will be rendered completely.

I will stock the shop with different hair bundles of various types, inches ( from 6 to 30 inches plus) and colors;

• Bone straight hairs
• Pixie curls
• Bouncy curls
• Water curls
• Deep wave curls and more.

Lastly, another expansion plan is to set a studio inside my shop for bridal hair styling. This is where I will register for an upgrade class so I can render the services before hiring staffs for assistance.

Aggressive or Soft Marketing Strategies

I am very passionate about my business which is why I love to create good relationship with customers; last year when I started my business fully and it was barely a month, I gave out gifts to those that patronized my brand that period. After a while, around the month May this year, I got a call from my customer that she wants to work on her hairs. In her voice; "HairByLynah", I picked up my small mirror to use today and recall that it was from your brand so I decided to give out my old hairs for you to work on them".

I felt so happy that sending gifts to my customers was a huge strategy to keep them. I prefer soft marketing strategies because it keeps organic customers in business for a longer time. This has attracted customers to my business through referrals and I planned to use another bigger strategy during end of the year/ new year sales.

Another soft marketing strategy I use is discount on my services. This strategy has always encouraged old customers to return and attract new to try my services. For the past one year, I have built my customers' base genuinely with different marketing strategies and the business is growing perfectly fine.
