MANAGING ANXIETY... (my way) - #RYW IMPROMPTU PODCAST
Hey Lovelies :)
Welcome to another Rock Your World Impromptu Podcast –
► Listen on DSound
► Listen from source (IPFS)
I actually wasn’t planning an impromptu podcast, but when going through all the questions in my comments section I landed on this one and because it is something I have lived with pretty much ALL my life… I thought I would get into the topic individually…
The question was from the Steemit user @jusipassetti who also happens to be a member of our @steemitbloggers community on discord… and her question was -
“I would really like to know what advice you would give on managing your anxiety and what coping methods to use in overcoming it?”
I really enjoyed this question so thank you @jusipassetti – I can only hope that you found my response at least a little useful xxx
I have decided that I quite like this "impromptu path" -
and from the questions asked in the comments I receive -
I am going to tackle the ones which "stir" something within me.
So on that note, I am going to request again that in the comments of this podcast post,
I get some questions that YOU have about YOUR lives and/or circumstance...
It really does not matter what it is...
We ALL have questions about life, our emotions,
the people we encounter,
the situations and challenges we are presented with... So let's hear it please... ;)
This podcast is exclusive to @dsound
► Listen on DSound
► Listen from source (IPFS)
Until next time...
Much Love from Cape Town, South Africa xxx

Fantastic post @jaynie
I'm very experienced in anxiety and mental health issues having gone through it myself.
I wrote a blog on my @mrbloom page last month about this very subject.
Plagiarised myself below!!
I feel very passionate about 'Mental Health' issues and just want to try and put an end to this overly 'Taboo' subject of Anxiety, depression and mental health that so many of us struggle with, and try to hide or act like 'Nothing is wrong' the tears of a clown syndrome, as I like to call it. I can only speak from experience and share my thoughts on the matter taken from my blog post
I hope everyone else that has listened to your podcast can find some help and strategies to manage their issues. My strategies are songwriting, playing and recording music, time spent on my own in my greenhouse, trimming my bonsai's and metal detecting in the great outdoors! sounds crazy but it's all intensley fun!
Thanks again!
Darren
@darrenclaxton Thank you so much for your lovely feedback, it really means a lot to me because doing that podcast in the first place was massively challenging to me in terms of my own anxiety - it tried a million times to "tell me" that I could not do it... and I chose to ignore it and went ahead with them anyway... so it really is wonderful to know that it is actually being appreciated by the people listening to my rambles... hehehe :)
Thanks again for all the positivity!!!
hugs
I think that a good amount of people suffer from some sort of mental aching. I am no exemption to this. I think there is no Cure-it-All, no One-Time Trick, Tip, or Pill that you can implement to change your life. It is a combination of different lifestyle factors that we all have the ability to change. A great book on personal development that I have read and that I recommend to all is "The Power of Habit" by Charles Duhigg in which he talks about how habits and behaviors can be molded through mindful effort and consistency as well as belief. I also think that channeling your own emotions via your passions and through mediums that you believe to be the best expression of your inner landscape is the best way to not let your emotions get bottled up and wreak havoc. For example, we are already on Steemit and letting out certain emotions we have to others in the form of blogging. Whether its through blogging, vlogging, music, sports, video games, investing, gardening or a myriad of other hobbies and passions I think we can express ourselves and free up space. I think it's important to communicate how we TRULY feel with others and sometimes that can be difficult with your close friends, family because they might not understand you or relate to you, but you can relate to other people online if that is the case. But letting out your true worries, stresses, thoughts and emotions on a platform like Steemit, with no care about WHAT OTHERS THINK is the best way to get started. And you should also find friends who care about and relate to what you have to say, what you truly are thinking and not on a superficial level. The problem in today's world is that most people set up walls and barriers and thus connect and communicate with each other pretty superficially. The closer you get to expressing what's on your real mind, till you reach the point where what you say is actually what you are thinking and not veiled is when you start to reach a level where you love yourself and don't care what others think because you know you are keeping it real, being honest, and true.
Thank you for your valuable insight @daddyku - much appreciated.
On a separate note, when I receive such lengthy comments, I generally do a plagiarism check up on them and yours showed results for very high levels of plagiarism. I am not sure if perhaps you have written something similar elsewhere or if you have taken some of the content directly from the book you mentioned - but just a heads up.... if you are going to take content from elsewhere... it is imperative that you credit the source with a link to the original content.
Failing to do that is considered plagiarism... and will result in being reported and possible downvotes.
Just thought I would give you a heads up as I can see you are new to the platform :)
Thanks again for stopping by :)
I do not plagiarise and did not plagiarise. Just spoke from the heart. If there are others that have written similar things then that is great, the internet is big and I am sure that if you look carefully you will see that I have not plagiarised from one specific thing probably and maybe certain phrases were just relatively similar to other sources. I was literally just tapping away at the keyboard :D. I recommend you be careful with your plagiarism checks because it is easy for everyone to plagiarise if you think about how vast the amount of content being written everyday on the internet is, and could be easy to be suspect at others even if they are not intending plagiarism since 1000 others have probably written same exact sentences and phrases on like-minded topics on social or digital media. My point is, I wouldn't get too paranoid about plagiarism in today's day and age of information overload :D
It was merely a heads up... no need to get so uptight about it :) I am not paranoid about it lol - but I do like to make informed decisions as to who and how I show my support. I was not trying to slap you in the face, but rather making you aware of it because it is in fact taken quite seriously on the Steemit platform... and I am most certainly not the only one who does check that sort of thing.
Was simply trying to be helpful - Anyway.... use it, don't use it....
good job my friend @jaynie... upvote and resteem
Thank you for your support. Much appreciated! :)
Thank you @jaynie for sharing this and answering my question. It was lovely hearing your perspective and I totally get the cleaning thing haha. It's also true regarding an idle mind, I always found my anxiety at its worst sitting in traffic in the morning.
My pleasure hon :) Hope it was at least a "little" useful :)
upvote and resteem good job
Appreciate the support, thank you very much!
a comment to ourselves about a problem, just say steemit problem, some people want to know how we solve the problem and what way we go, as you say, you prefer "impromptu path". the line wanted to be known by others to be sampled by it, so they commented. a thing that can be an input for us to be able to fix something deficiency of ourselves and can be a benefit for others ...
Keep the spirit @jaynie
Thank you.) It was interesting to listen. I will not say that I understood everything, but I liked this method of immersion in the language))
Thank you dear :)
Great Job!
Keep It Up!
