RE: MANAGING ANXIETY... (my way) - #RYW IMPROMPTU PODCAST
I think that a good amount of people suffer from some sort of mental aching. I am no exemption to this. I think there is no Cure-it-All, no One-Time Trick, Tip, or Pill that you can implement to change your life. It is a combination of different lifestyle factors that we all have the ability to change. A great book on personal development that I have read and that I recommend to all is "The Power of Habit" by Charles Duhigg in which he talks about how habits and behaviors can be molded through mindful effort and consistency as well as belief. I also think that channeling your own emotions via your passions and through mediums that you believe to be the best expression of your inner landscape is the best way to not let your emotions get bottled up and wreak havoc. For example, we are already on Steemit and letting out certain emotions we have to others in the form of blogging. Whether its through blogging, vlogging, music, sports, video games, investing, gardening or a myriad of other hobbies and passions I think we can express ourselves and free up space. I think it's important to communicate how we TRULY feel with others and sometimes that can be difficult with your close friends, family because they might not understand you or relate to you, but you can relate to other people online if that is the case. But letting out your true worries, stresses, thoughts and emotions on a platform like Steemit, with no care about WHAT OTHERS THINK is the best way to get started. And you should also find friends who care about and relate to what you have to say, what you truly are thinking and not on a superficial level. The problem in today's world is that most people set up walls and barriers and thus connect and communicate with each other pretty superficially. The closer you get to expressing what's on your real mind, till you reach the point where what you say is actually what you are thinking and not veiled is when you start to reach a level where you love yourself and don't care what others think because you know you are keeping it real, being honest, and true.
Thank you for your valuable insight @daddyku - much appreciated.
On a separate note, when I receive such lengthy comments, I generally do a plagiarism check up on them and yours showed results for very high levels of plagiarism. I am not sure if perhaps you have written something similar elsewhere or if you have taken some of the content directly from the book you mentioned - but just a heads up.... if you are going to take content from elsewhere... it is imperative that you credit the source with a link to the original content.
Failing to do that is considered plagiarism... and will result in being reported and possible downvotes.
Just thought I would give you a heads up as I can see you are new to the platform :)
Thanks again for stopping by :)
I do not plagiarise and did not plagiarise. Just spoke from the heart. If there are others that have written similar things then that is great, the internet is big and I am sure that if you look carefully you will see that I have not plagiarised from one specific thing probably and maybe certain phrases were just relatively similar to other sources. I was literally just tapping away at the keyboard :D. I recommend you be careful with your plagiarism checks because it is easy for everyone to plagiarise if you think about how vast the amount of content being written everyday on the internet is, and could be easy to be suspect at others even if they are not intending plagiarism since 1000 others have probably written same exact sentences and phrases on like-minded topics on social or digital media. My point is, I wouldn't get too paranoid about plagiarism in today's day and age of information overload :D
It was merely a heads up... no need to get so uptight about it :) I am not paranoid about it lol - but I do like to make informed decisions as to who and how I show my support. I was not trying to slap you in the face, but rather making you aware of it because it is in fact taken quite seriously on the Steemit platform... and I am most certainly not the only one who does check that sort of thing.
Was simply trying to be helpful - Anyway.... use it, don't use it....
