I am not really that excited about him as champion, but not really crazy about Adam Page either. I'd much rather see Kenny Omega or Jon Moxley. Better yet, sign CM Punk and put him in as a top contender.

Business wise I think it would make the most sense to have Jericho be the first champion seeing as how from a mainstream stand point he is the biggest name they have. So when they start on TNT they can have whoever they want to beat him do a big title chase that ends with the guy who beats him being made into a star right away
I can't disagree. Business-wise, sure. As a fan, I'm just not so excited about it going to a veteran who should be putting new guys over. But you make a good point that he can do that better going in as champion in a long feud.
