The Enemedia has been manipulating video's for decades. They might not have been using digital technology until recently but the word 'cutting room floor' comes to mind. Given a remarkably short period of time, film can be cut, spliced and made to portray anything they want it to.
- Forget the idea of “seeing is believing.” New technology is making digital media manipulation easier than ever.

The result? Phony videos that are popping up across the web.

One video making the rounds is of former-President Barack Obama delivering a speech that he never actually made. It’s part of a video trend circulating the internet called Deepfake, which has made it tougher to tell what’s real and what’s not.

“It’s very concerning because as people get better with this software we’re able to not just use celebrities, they’re able to use a neighbor in a video and compromise that person,” FITECH Senior Vice President Duarte Pereira said.

They're not concerned that it's being done. They're angry that they have competetion. Trump 'making fun of the cripple guy' was likely video manipulation. The enemedia does it ALL the time.
Now that that they have serious competition..they trot out that old almost dead horse...'journalistic ethics'...as if there ever were such a thing.

I wonder if an unintended consequence of this new tech, ( realistic visual manipulations), will be that all visual records will be start to be discounted automatically as unreliable?
That will make it much harder for mainstream,(and advertising) where visual impacting reports that they rely on, will mean nothing...
The man talking about issues will carry more weight...

The media has always been manipulative with their news. Given us selective news as well as making a fool of us. Once heard of a broadcasting TV faking a scene just to create a news out of it. So am not quite surprised to hear about the media manipulative tech, but it cool that there now an awareness of it
This will be yet another new technology that will be totally misused, and it's worrying what they can do next

This has been known for a good while now, but hasn't been paid much attention by the MSM because it was hoped to become a weapon in the arsenal of disinfo. At the moment, I think the reason it is getting real press is to try and discredit any real video footage of oligarchs/politicians/blackmailed NWO cronies caught on tape diddling toddlers or worse. Weiner & Abedin's "Life insurance" folder perhaps? Or maybe Hefner's blackmail video vault? Whatever happened to that video that made NYPD cry?
