Weightloss ideas
Hi,
My name is peter and i'm trying to lose weight, so i've been looking around to how to do that.
I came across some interesting things. One of them is the idea to eat an avocado every day for a month.
one of my questions was - which do i do first, circuit training or ellipticaling
well after listening to this guy, who sounds spot on about this stuff, i realize that i need to empty the tank before getting on the elliptical machine, this way it will burn it rather than just burn the glycogen which is what i think what has been happening.
i eat, i have glycogen build up and then bam i'm on the elliptical and it burns 300 calories, but
i'm not losing any weight
reason i think why is because i'm just burning the fuel i ate the glycogen build up.
so this guy says the fastest way to deplete glycogen is to heavyweight lift
- it depletes the glycogen
- it builds muscle and he says built muscle reduces spillover (which he defines as the process of taking extra glycogen left over from not being able to store it (full tank) and converting it to fat for you) This spillover is a serious problem with weight gaining, basically another reason to cut out sugary things and carby things.
so with a much more depleted gas tank, when i step on the elliptical, i'll get to the point where i'm burning fat in a shorter time.
as my max right now is only 30 minutes, shortening that time seems like a really good idea.
so this is just one way to try to help get that weight loss going.
the other thing i'm trying, is eating an avocado a day every day for 3 months.
there are a slew of health benefits apparently.
i did it for a week and i did drop some weight, but when i stopped, my appetite doubled and i gained it back.
going to redouble my efforts and try for a month this time. every morning mixed with some salsa.
here is the video on eating an avocado every day.
seems its pretty good!!
