Love-Hate Relationship with Dentist
I have a love-hate relationship with my dentist.
On the love side, I like that my teeth get a deep cleaning a couple of times a year. I also appreciate my teeth staying healthy so I can chew through all the things l like to eat - like steak. I like when my teeth are a brighter shade of white as well.
But man, I do hate the dentist sometimes too. I occasionally get a cavity and always get lectured that I must be grinding my teeth when I do not do that. The problem stems from my high school days when I drank a lot of sports drinks and did a lot of weightlifting - the combination removed some of the enamel protecting the teeth, so I am prone to get cavities more frequently. I am not a fan of getting my teeth drilled -- it is just not fun.
I also do not like having to pay the dentist. I have "dental insurance", but somehow they end up charging more than if I wasn't insured, and then the amount I have to come out of pocket is virtually the same as if I wasn't insured. There is certainly a reason my dentist has a second house on the beach... dental work is expensive!
I got to hang out with my dentist and keep his pockets full on Friday... I am always so thrilled.

Hello friend, I worked with a dentist for 7 years and I told you that in Venezuela it was not so expensive at least when I worked with him, most people were afraid of him but when he was lying in his chair they even told him about his personal problems I mean that even psychologist, I heard a lot that in other countries go to the dentist is very expensive. Hi friend @brian.rrr, just like you feel a love-hate for going to the dentist. From the age of 15 at the dentist they put in my teeth what they call dental braces, which are nothing more than wires stuck to the teeth one followed by another decorated with colored bands and these fulfill the function of putting the right teeth and accommodate the bite, among other dental benefits. At the beginning the first day that they put me was very painful, since they were about 5 days with pains in all the teeth both up and down and could not eat anything solid, if not eat pure liquid things and ice cream. Today I have more straight teeth and brackets if they have fulfilled their function, I no longer go to the dentist as often as before but if I go from time to time. Going to the dentist can be annoying and expensive, but observing it on the health side is very important because it is where all our teeth and molars are well cleaned so that we can continue to enjoy our favorite foods and drinks, without fear or fear. that cavities are going to come out, cavities are very bad and they damage our teeth a lot, that is why we should always go to the dentist even if we do not like it.

I hear you about the bills. I have the same thing happen at the doctor. I pay for insurance, but after insurance pays their bit, I still end up paying more than if I were uninsured. What's that about? Oh, and I have to pay for the insurance! Grrr.

OMG, I just had this issue this week. I went for a cleaning on Monday last week and I was informed that a cracked tooth from my sports days was starting to form a cavity. The repair had started to come loose and decay was setting in. I had never had a cavity in my life so this was terrifying for me. I had 5% of my tooth drilled and a filling. It was not pleasant. Especially the needle to freeze my mouth. Thankfully, the bill was covered by my dental insurance through work. I go to the dentist because I must not because I want to.
During toothache i dont remember anyone, but dentist, they seem divine to me at that time.

Oh man i have really hard times years back my teeths are drilled 5 to 6 times and the experience is terrible and yes most of the time tooth issues start from the young age and i don't have good experience because i never wanted to go to the dentist but i have to and literally it was as an feeling as we are moving towards somewhere in the room from where we will going push for Time Travel. Tooth is very important in our body. .
I had lost my teeth after eating many chocolates in my childhood, but now I am very careful about the teeth. . When I have a problem with the teeth, then I like the dentist :p
I share your love and hate for him, because I like my white teeth but I hate that sound that has the machine to dig, I do not like it is something horrible that nobody likes but I love having my white teeth.
