It is alt coin season!
Most altcoins are currently at their all time high from a dollar perspective and this is just amazing for the crypto industry.
I am in many Slack groups and all the groups are excited around the current state of Altcoins. Sure Bitcoin has run so fast over the past month that the altcoins are struggling to catch up from a All time high perspective in relation to Bitcoin.
More Banking groups is getting into Crypto
The most exciting of all is that more Banking groups is getting into Crypto. A Swiss Banking Group announced yesterday that they are adding 4 altcoins to their online trading platform. Bitcoin is already available for trading against USD and EURO and they are adding LiteCoin, Bitcoin Cash, Ethereum and Ripple to these trading pairs.

There are many people taking a stab at predicting the future Bitcoin price, Ronnie Moas predicted a price rise of $20 000 in three years, from where he had to change his prediction after the recent price rise.
To quote him:
"Bitcoin is already up 500 percent since I recommended it in the beginning of July, and I'm looking for another 500 percent move from here. The end-game on Bitcoin is that it will hit $300,000 to $400,000 in my opinion, and it will be the most valuable currency in the world."

I thoroughly believe that we are in for a massive year next year, but I would rather not take a stab at predicting the price, but I do believe we might all be surprised as more and more non crypto people enters the market.

I have had more conversations with people about Bitcoin in the last 2 weeks then the previous 2 months, and the previous 2 months was more then the previous 2 years. Interest is growing at a very rapid pace.
You can't even read the CNBC news feed without seeing at least something about crypto, most of the time half the stories revolve around it.
While the alt coins are good and I'm heavily invested right now, there is no question that the go to coin for now will be bitcoin as new investors get started.
I fully agree to your evaluation of the situation.
Can't wait the day when we will use cryptos more often in banks then regular money.

the way things are going alt coins will boom in coming years,though we will most likely to see some legal regulations introduced effective 2018.is it a potential threat or something that will pave the way for development of alt coin market?
