A Favorite Freewrite

Every Tuesday, you have a chance to win a membership to Steem Basic Income, SBI, at the Freewrite House.

Try to win one, my friends. An everlasting vote on your posts is nothing to sneeze at.

We want to make it super easy for you. Your task is to tell us in the comment section about one - or more- freewrites of others you have read in the last couple of days you really liked. Yup, not your own!!

The comment must be at least 50 words long - no upper limit 🤪

See the rules below for details.

In an ideal world, you also give that person a nice upvote - but we are not going to check on that.

To be entered into the drawing, go to the Daily Prompt post by @mariannewest. We are doing our best to resteem them to the Freewrite house profile.
Read as many Freewrites as you can. Then tell us about a freewrite you really liked and why.
Choose from the last couple of days if possible so others can go, visit, and, inspired by your description, leave a vote.

Win, Win, Win!!!

I have two favs this week both for the "drapes" prompt.

First is by @rabiujaga. I found it very touching and raw, describing how we all need to throw off the barriers in our lives and keep striving toward our goals.

The second is by my son, @bxlphabet. I am so happy he is freewriting and showing us (me) some parts of his new life. This is one of the best things to happen in some time and I hope he gets some drapes for his window soon :)

This is so touching... I don't know why I ever left steemit.. even the words are incentives for me to continue... thank you @fitifun for this. ....

This freewrite by @galenkp really blew me away (no pun intended for blue). The author conveys, with a great natural feeling, the pain felt from losing a buddy while living in the hell of World War One. It's not often you hear the perspective of an Australian soldier from the war and @galenkp has done a great job at bringing his piece to life.

It is a great story and you might want to invite the author to participate in the Literary Talent Award. But as far as our purpose for this contest is concerned - it is not a Freewrite as part of our community of freewriters (you can find them at the comments of the Daily prompt @mariannewest). This contest is designed to encourage interaction and mutual support among the Freewriters. Great story, for sure.

My apologies! Thanks for checking it out, though! 😊

no worries. I love that you are starting to participate in more of the Freewritehouse activities! Thank you so much!

@scribblingramma made me laugh with her freewrite using the prompt: wild. She writes about parts of songs that are remembered when the entire song is not and has some fun examples. It reminds me of some jingles that keep floating around my head that drive me crazy at times. Check it out and it will surely bring a smile. : )

@kaelci does it for me with this one, and it's not just because I miss her march madness story. I feel so deeply when I read this. Somehow she manages to both mend my heart and break it in under a minute of reading.

freewrite from @wakeupkitty was worth thinking about.

It seems to come from the perspective of someone who doesn't dismiss the supernatural as hokum, but who notes that there are probably more mundane explanations for what we're told is something special or magical.

I am glad that she provides such a multifaceted exploration of the subject. It's good to keep both sides in mind, but it's worth noting that there didn't seem to be evidence FOR the supernatural.

Thanks for sharing!

Thanks for your great comment/nomination
