RE: The Deadpost Initiative - Week 14 - Share your most undervalued work + week 13 winners ($10 STEEM prize pool) - Let's go Trending this week to get a huge prize pool next week!
I spent months working on this project and it was just a sad and lonely post. Thank you so much for the opportunity to share it again!

Wow, such gorgeous work with delicious materials. Here's an upvote and a new follower ;)
Thank you, @creationofcare!! I most appreciate the upvote and follow! Yay!
I've upvoted your original post as well. They are so detailed you should be proud = D
Thanks so much @pumpkinsandcats! I appreciate the kind comment and the follow!!
Those are beautiful!
Must be rewarding to finish such a long project with your own bare hands! My uncle has crafted a self-designed, wooden, hand made mirror, and he stopped counting his work hours above 2000 hour mark... I have a huge admiration for crafters who put so much love and effort into their work.
Your comment made me smile, @celestal. I think you just described the way most artists feel. Regardless of form (sculpting, painting, photography, crafting, etc.) we need to suspend our awareness of the time investment and stay focused on the desired end result. I've seen some postings in our #NeedlworkMonday group wherein the artists worked for years on a project. It is truly amazing. It feels so Renaissance.
Your lamps are simply beautiful :c) If I had not seen the in-progress images then I would have had a much harder time to associate with the crafting process - and your sharing it really added to the depth of my appreciation of your handiwork - which is impeccable.
The style is also hard to describe but very pleasing to the eye. It takes me back in a way - while remaining rooted in the present.
Thank you for sharing this. It gets my vote. :c)
Thank you so much, @pathforger! I usually post one each month , so feel free to check 'em out if you have time. Thank you for the vote!
Those are truly amazing lamps @crystalize. The post itself is very well laid out with a nice mix of writing and photos. I at first thought you had just added the bead strands to an already fabricated lamp, but as I read your article the truth came out. Definitely a lot of work there. Great that you were able to repurpose some items in it construction.
I agree that this post should have got more recognition than it did.

Thank you, @sighmanjestah! Yes, the entire project is a restoration, and I actively seek out and acquire antique materials/textiles that compliment the time period of the antique bases. It is a very expensive hobby, but a labor of love. I really appreciate the feedback, and thank you for reading!
Wow. These are really beautiful and a great post too. Hope it finally gets the recognition it deserves. 😍
Thank you so much, @gillianpearce! Join the fun and add an undervalued post from last month, if you have one. I'd love to see it.
I haven't been here a month yet! Although what is considered a month - 4 weeks? Or is it the date, i.e if posted on the 20th it can't be considered until the 20th the following month? how does it work exactly?
Hmm...not sure. I have never entered this contest before, but it says "posts must be at least one month old" so I will assume four weeks. I think you can nominate someone else's post here, too. So if you see or resteemed anything that is a month old that you hoped would get more love, you can probably put it here .
amigo que geniales estan esas lamparas! que mal me siento al notar tan poco apoyo para este post en su momento, definitivamente tu post para mi es el ganador.
Hola @josegodox. ¡Gracias mucho! ¡Las lámparas son muy divertidas de hacer!
Looks like lots of work and very decorative. It looks interesting, I like it.
Thank you, @irstra! I appreciate that very much.
