RE: @buildawhale blacklist update - SPECIAL EDITION!

in #buildawhale6 years ago

So this post got me thinking.

Normally when we "blacklist" someone it's because that person is doing something truly harmful to the steemit community. For example: spam, scams, criminal activity, etc.

So my question to @buildawhale. Other than Jerry making a questionable life decision and talking about his auto fellatio and being creepy and shirtless on video. Did he do anything harmful to the steemit community? I think Jerry's behavior is "questionable" though not entirely harmful. (Other than maybe an image problem for steemit).

With that said I understand that it's your money. You are free to do what you want with your business. Also free to do business with and not do business with whom you choose.

But I'm curious about the rational behind the decision and did you take into account what sort of repercussions this decision can have in the future. Possibly what sort of unintended consequences a decision to blacklist someone when they do something "questionable".

Thanks.
