@buildawhale blacklist update - SPECIAL EDITION!
If you are mentioned below, you have a free all-access pass to our blacklist. This is a pretty exclusive club, with many benefits, none of which are an upvote from us.
Fear not, you will not be alone.
All bids from these users will be rejected and will be used to fund efforts to make Steemit great again.

So this post got me thinking.
Normally when we "blacklist" someone it's because that person is doing something truly harmful to the steemit community. For example: spam, scams, criminal activity, etc.
So my question to @buildawhale. Other than Jerry making a questionable life decision and talking about his auto fellatio and being creepy and shirtless on video. Did he do anything harmful to the steemit community? I think Jerry's behavior is "questionable" though not entirely harmful. (Other than maybe an image problem for steemit).
With that said I understand that it's your money. You are free to do what you want with your business. Also free to do business with and not do business with whom you choose.
But I'm curious about the rational behind the decision and did you take into account what sort of repercussions this decision can have in the future. Possibly what sort of unintended consequences a decision to blacklist someone when they do something "questionable".
Thanks.
It's times like these I wish I could upvote something more than once.
Great Information You provided us.
Thanks for this post.
i think that we must support real content creators and i suggest that steem add group section that will help other to start and involve in the community with out any need to this bots
Do not trust anything he says if he does not like someone or something he puts you on the list
@themarkymark is abusing the system so bad it's been going on for a while now there is even videos on YouTube people talking about how they have been affected by @themarkymark
@steemcleaners need to put a stop to this he's making money by spamming people with @badcontent it's not right at all please put a stop to this it's not good for @steemit @blockchain @steepshot @busy @dlive @dmaina @dtube @zappl
I hate bots the geniune content may hide because of these bots 😐
Not necessarily.
Maybe, more large scale content curation projects need more support and I think we can balance the scales. As an early adopter, a lot of minnows certainly join Steemit to spam and earn money so that does put off a fair amount of curators from curating new content entirely. As their votes can be countered with a flag when the content is found to be plagiarised therefore wasting vp altogether.
I'm hopeful of a greater balance and co-existence if the platform doesnt want to lean more towards manual curation once again in the future.

So glad hes finally blacklisted ! its been a long time coming so glad someone finally took out the garbage as I mentioned in the other post ! I am curious which bots you support most if any other then @buildawhale of course!? 👍👍👍
Nice! I don't know a lot about the guy, But the latest trending post.. which I don't agree with.. sounds like he is off base and just trying to scare the minnows... But I trust in your decision. Guy doesn't seem to be on the up and up.
Speaking over which I see that his latest post "Why is the Steem Price Low? How Do We Fix It?" is still upvoted by buildawhale. Is it just after the fact of the blacklist or are you going to remove that upvote because he now qualifies for the blacklist club?
