Have you tried using f.lux? It's a total lifesaver when working long nights, or when your eyes just need some rest after staring at a screen too long.
Also, if you're in the market for a monitor, I highly recommend an ultrawide display, it really helps with productivity!
Flux is cool but annoying as hell for gamers and a pain in the ass sometimes.
Perhaps the stuff about low light indoors harming eyesight is only part of a correlation for why people have bad vision, there was a scientific paper that discovered that exposure to sunlight made the eyes stop growing outwards.
So get some sunlight so your eyes stop trying to find the sun like a pair of weird potatoes sprouting out of your face.

Too lazy right now to find another article I read on the subject.
Don't get too much direct sunlight in your eyes and get UV damaged.
And get some sleep, your sleep cycle is probably shit right now if you've been trying to sleep in a room full of electronics and you're up late with anxious thoughts and paranoid fantasies.
