Craft Beer Blog Entry #3
Hello fellow Steemians! It's already week three into my craft beer blog and it almost got way from me. I can't believe it's Friday already. Perfect day to write about a craft beer because it's likely that I will be indulging in one later :)
I am going to move away from the IPA's this week and share my thoughts on a Blonde Ale made by a Minneapolis brewery called Fulton.
Fulton makes one of my favorite IPA's (Sweet Child of Vine), but they do an excellent job with this American Blonde Ale.
When it comes to craft brew Blonde Ales and Pilsners are what come to mind as great introductory beers. They are smooth, easy to drink and usually won't mess with a typical Bud Light/Miller Light drinkers taste buds too much.
Fulton's Lonely Blonde was a Bronze winner at the Great American Beer Festival in Denver, CO this past year. Anyone who knows craft beers knows that this is no easy task and is a great honor.
Fulton's website describes the Lonely Blonde as follows: " The Lonely Blonde wears a delicate fragrance of German noble hops, and slips a touch of white wheat between American pale and crystal malts for a smooth, sensuous body, fair complexion, and a pleasantly lacy white head. Crisp carbonation slinks the Lonely Blonde quickly away, and you’re left with nothing but a slight lingering sweetness as you contemplate how The Lonely Blonde can be so beautiful on so many levels."
In other words: Fulton Lonely Blonde is a great lighter beer. It offers more flavor than your traditional domestic beers and is easily enjoyed by even the most novice beer drinker. At 4.8% alcohol it won't knock you on your ass after 2 or 3.
I would recommend this beer be drank in a pint or pilsen glass. You want the aroma, but tongue taste is much more important to the experience of this style of beer than the combination of aroma and taste. This beer is produced and should be enjoyed year round. If I am going to be drinking many beers over an extended period of time this is a great choice. It's not going to bloat your stomach as much as a darker beer and your words will still make sense after the 5th one :)
And just like that the beer is gone!
I will be filling it up later, but gotta make it through the work day.
I hope you enjoyed this post.
Please comment below if you have a suggestion of a beer I should try or blog about.
If you have tried Fulton Lonely Blonde what are your thoughts?
