Contabo: An automatic payment via Credit Card has failed

My payment card is fine - but apparently the Contabo doesn't think so. I've re-added the same payment card with the pre-authorization successful each time, however, Contabo fails to payment.

Today is the last day that the payment needs to be done otherwise, the in their own words "we are forced to suspend your services temporarily - we want to avoid this at all costs."

The solution

I added the same payment card to paypal account, and use the paypal account to pay the contabo invoice, and it works.
