#GOTELOS: The Telos Foundation Grants Program ~~ Grab the Opportunity!

The Telos Foundation is a funding as well as a promotional body, geared towards the advancement of the Telos Blockchain Network. On this note, providing grants to groups and individuals who promote the necessary network functions that are supported by the worker proposals is the foundation's main objective/aim. The grant is believed to be some encouragement and benefits to creative and innovative communities and individuals who venture into promoting Telos. A primary part of the Telos Foundation mission is to provide granting opportunities to the community.

However, there are things you should know before submitting your application for reviews.

Firstly, the Telos Foundation Grants application is not for every person. Below are the categories of persons/groups eligible to apply for the grants:

• Do you have a project that will be of gross and solid benefit to the Telos Blockchain community, please apply!
• Also, if you have a great dapp on another platform and need help to build on Telos, please apply!
• Lastly, if you are an EOSIO developer or development team and need some additional support for your in-progress project, please apply!

Secondly to note is concerning the award allocation. The Telos Foundation will be awarding up to 100,000 TLOS per month. This, may be split among applicable candidates who meet the criteria and are selected by a review panel. The Telos Foundation will not grant funding for projects that do not have on-going development or completion goals acceptable to the judging panel.

Thirdly, all submissions sent to the portal will be subject to scrutiny by the review panel and only applicants who meet the criteria will be selected for awards. Evaluation will happen in two cycles with the first cycle involving the evaluation of submitted materials, request for additional materials (if needed), and review of core competencies. The second phase will be a team interview through video link. The Review Panel is made up of a core group from members of the Telos Foundation and the EOSIO community.

The Portal for submission is always open from the 1st to the 15th day of every month. After the 15th, the Telos Foundation Grant Selection Panel will review all applications and follow-up applicants for a potential video interview. The follow-up process is needed to request for additional materials from applicants (if needs be). The monthly award winners will be contacted on the 28th of every month. Grantees will then be publicly announced at the end of every month.

In order to be eligible for the awards, you must meet the following requirements:

• Applications must be deployed on the Telos Blockchain Network, built on EOSIO.
• Project should be open source, unless otherwise pre-approved.
• Must mention Telos Foundation Grant Program as a supporter on website and include Telos logo.
• Must mention Telos Foundation in at least one social media post per week during the period of support and for 30 days post deployment, when referring to support for your project. Please use hashtags #buildontelos #gotelos.

Agreement and Terms:
Transparency is of essence and very important; owing to this, all applicants must agree to allow the Telos Foundation to publicly name the project and applicants if an award is being given. Grantees will also be asked to sign an agreement prior to receiving awards. The distribution of TLOS tokens will be 50% at the time of award and 50% following successful launch on Telos. Applicants must be available for a video interview with review panel the third week of the month in which they apply and all funded projects should already have a publicly-accessible repository, and in all cases must adhere to one or more specified open source licenses when applicable.

In conclusion, it is worthy of note that the Grant Program is subject to change at the discretion of the Telos Foundation Board of Directors. More so, everyone should know that the Grant Program is not a bounty system and the awards are not to be considered as venture capital. The Telos Foundation and entire network is grateful to the communities and individuals for all of their ongoing efforts, committment and dedication to the development and growth of the network and it hopes that this grant program will help support the evolution that we are all developing in together.
