RE: The first rule of Steemit is to not talk about EOS. The second rule is...
I guess it would make no sense to build a competitor on EOS from @dan perspective - it would only hurt the growing STEEM community. But it´s possible or even likely, that other developers will try to do so, which will result in a myspace vs facebook showdown where it´s difficult to say who will succeed at the present moment - most likely the platform with better developers behind... What I would like to hear, are "official" statement about the plans to integrate the existing coins/project from the Larimer-Universe.
Dan has powered down and he gets plenty of hate on Steemit. I could def see him supporting a Steem competitor on EOS.
Well, I wouldn´t necessarily conclude from the power down, that he is building a competitor - of course he may see himself as a father who needs to put more attention on his new child and leaving Steem to grow up by itself - which again would not mean for me, that he is abandoning Steem. I do wish though, that there would be more visible working together and common synergy effects between his coins/projects
I dont think he's building a competitor. He's building EOS so that other ppl can build dApps such as a Steem competitor.
Got it! Yes, this may happen, but I won´t worry about this yet, since STEEM itself is just in its infancy and there are many things still to come like SMT. Since EOS is the much broader product, I have the feeling, that most developers will first start to build other dApps and not immediately go for the "blockchain social media king" STEEM.
I agree. I think basic idea for blog sharing on blockchain is fo STEEM only
No one else can compete with it.
