Business on the blockchain: Starting our seed science venture

We were able to adopt a different e-commerce approach for our small business. By operating as an online-only retailer we are able to give customers savings and quality seeds directly to their door. As we grow we hope to attract customers from a diverse range of countries and climates. However when doing business worldwide, currency conversion becomes an issue. We want to support a currency that has universal applications and ease of adaptation for many different users from experts to laypersons.

In order to support the business start-up we were open to the idea of accepting and using new forms of credit. From prior experience and research, we knew that the use of crypto-currency would grow and gain wider use. Our confidence in the idea built over time, to the point where we are proud of being one of the first - if not the first, Canadian seed retailer to accept Bitcoin as payment.

With the rise and increasing acceptance of alternative e-currencies via support from a growing and enthusiastic community, we decided to jump into the arena - not only by accepting it as money, but investing in the future as well. We believe that through facilitating easy buying and selling, some of these new currencies will prove their worth in the long run.

We proudly accept Bitcoin as a method of payment for all of the products on our website. We at Vegiseeds will continue to support Bitcoin and investigate alternative payment methods, such as Steem, as we evolve.
