Bitcoin has been around for roughly 13 years now yet it has never had back to back down years.

It has had down years for sure, it's just never had one back to back.
With this year being a massively down year, the odds that next year finishes in the green is quite high.
However, that doesn't mean it doesn't dip lower earlier in the year before closing the year in the green.
That is the pattern we saw in 2014...
I agree, Bitcoin has consistently proven itself to be a reliable investment option, even during periods of market volatility. It's definitely worth considering as a long-term holding in any investment portfolio.
