A Law is a Force.
Source
A law is a force of divinity that cannot be controlled with human sense. A law is a spiritual enforcement into the divine nature. The best way to avert and not sin as to against the law is by the spirit of God.
For the creature was made subject to vanity, not willingly, but by the reason of him who hath subjected the same in hope. Romans 8:19-20.
It says, "not willingly."
For example, Somebody has vow to love his wife forever, this was on Sunday. And then on Monday comes and passes, Tuesday comes, Wednesday, and then on Thursday he says, "That thing you did on Monday, it's because of the vow I made on Sunday, otherwise........"
And then Saturday he says to his wife, it's important for me to let you know that you have to be careful!" See now the force is coming stronger, it want to get him.
My brethren and my friends, see, there is a law of sin. It's a force, and it is a control.
Another Example is somebody got drunk with alcohol yesterday and in his stupor, slept in the gutter! He woke in the following morning and found himself in the gutter. Should he go to his drinking joint again today? NO! But on his way back from work, instead of going home, he goes again on his drinking spree.
That is a man under the law of sin! He can't help himself.
You know, if you are a very angry person, you don't need anyone to say anything to make you angry, you just get angry over anything, whether good or bad, because of the bondage of the law of sin and death. It's there in you.
Who shall deliver me from the body of this death? Paul lamented.
That gives you an understanding that we must have our own security in this spiritual conflict.

But thank God: (3) For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war according to the flesh. (4) For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal but mighty in God for pulling down strongholds, (5) casting down arguments and every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God, bringing every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ, (2 Corinthians 10:3-5).
So, my brethren, there is a way out.

Love makes perfect, the law cannot... Thanks for sharing
Thank you for sharing @stevenmosoes, for reminding and inspiring me to do my own mini bible study.
The answer to the question that Paul asked?
Only if we have Christ and the Holy Spirit we can fight the good fight as you give it to us in this verse:
What is very important about the verse above is
Every sin starts with a thought, so if our own flesh or the devil put the thought in our mind, then we should immediately take it captive into obedience in Christ!
Wow. Great view my dear friend. Great contributions. Thank you.
