Yes, you read right, this Poorter is spelled with two o. It is brewed with vanilla and licorice root at Lowlander Beers in the Netherlands.

As a full-fledged Poorter it immediately hits you with flavors of roasted malts and a hint of vanilla. This continues as it covers your mouth with a bitter sweet taste that still had a rather light and foamy mouthfeel.

After you finished your Poorter you will be left behind with a lasting pleasant taste of very dark chochlate.
I think that the Poorter is a very pleasent representative of its kind, that didn't feel very heavy. And I can only reccomend it.

This is the first time I’ve seen it spelled that way, but hey that looks mighty good. Porters might be in my top three favorite styles behind stouts.

snipped some background from lowlanders webpage:
The first instance of ‘Porter beer’ in print was found in a series of letters to London in the 1720’s hence the British claim to have invented it. However, a beer known as ‘Poorter’ was being drunk as early as the 14th Century in the Netherlands. The brew was named after the poorters who spent their days toiling away in the docklands, hauling tradesmen’s loot from ships to city centres. The jet black tipple provided them with the calories and courage they needed to get through the day.
guess thats why they call it with a secon o ;)

I also dig all the dark beers, the more roasted malts the better
