Empyrean Dark Side Vanilla Porter
Beer number 2 of the bonfire Friday night; the Empyrean brewery out of Lincoln, Nebraska makes one of the best vanilla porters I’ve ever had!
If you’ve ever had the Breckinridge Vanilla porter, you know how delicious it is, but to me, it is just a bit too sweet. Empyrean knocks it out of the park. It is incredibly robust with coffee beans, chocolate and vanilla flavor!
Beer number 2 was not a disappointment! Check out Empyrean if you are in the Midwest. They brew some delicious beer!

I love the line "Hello darkness, my old friend"
that one looks really good. I have had their Peanut Butter Porter which I didn't like but the group of beers I got were mailed to me and a bunch of them tasted bad. it was pretty disappointing. But I also had the Breckinridge Vanilla and liked it but do agree it was sweet.
Yeah I believe we’ve had that discussion before. That’s one of my favorites so you probably got a bottle that was flat. That vanilla porter is the best vanilla porter I’ve had yet. Definitely give that one a try and let me know what you think.
