OK, This Is Amazing!!

Today is a perfect day. Sunny but not too hot or humid and Sheila is happy.

After spending a week getting somewhat organized after traveling for a month to get to our spot in New Hampshire I need to get back to work. Financial reasons but mostly for sanity. When I'm not doing artwork I'm not fun to be with. Sort of like, "The need for speed"..mine is the need to be creative.

Working inside the rig is good on rainy days but it's cramped and I am surrounded by doggies who get a bit demanding at times. So today I am outside!

While I was in Florida for two weeks I ordered a stool that twirls and is a bit higher than most so it's more comfortable for me to sit for longer periods. Then in Arizona we went to Goodwill and found a small side table, a bit wobbly and a bit tilted, but for the $5.00 price it does it's job!

A dear friend suddenly lost his beautiful Lab this past week so I am in the process of painting a Memory Box for her ashes. It's a simple balsa wood box and I paint different images of the dog all around. At first I did them in acrylic paint but my medium of choice is oils so I have switched to those. I'll do a show and tell as I'm working so you can see how they progress and how it turns out. Next blog.

Just a few images of what I am surrounded by here at the campground. The smell of bacon and eggs is coming up through the air right now, I may have to stop and eat since I haven't had breakfast as yet, and one of the workers is weed wacking in the distance, I may have to go slap him since he's interfering my silence, (joking) but all in all this is perfect!

So, off to work I go. Have a great day Steemit friends and I'll check back later!!

Warmly,
Sheila

Hey Sheila! Travelling is fun, but it does tend to get a little "cramped" at times! I'm so sorry for your friend, but it's a beautiful idea what you are creating. Looking forward to seeing the finished product.

Your photos make me a little homesick...in a good way :) We even had two of those lounge chairs too haha

Say hi to Roger ;)

That's too funny Lynne. They are the new replacements from our other zero gravity chairs. The weather and their being 4 years old rotted out the fabric. Roger went through. :-0 . These don't seem to go back as far but are just working fine!!!

I started doing Memory Boxes a few years ago for friends dogs. They became popular sadly enough. This one is working up faster because I think, Tora, Ray's Lab, wants to have a "home" to be in when she gets back. I do feel their spirit , I guess that will be a blog along with the finished box. Hmm. lol

haha Roger went through! There's something to say for waking up, going outside and smelling bacon cooking. It's such a simple life in so many ways :)

@swedegis it certainly should be a blog!

My dog's ashes are with Brian's ex-wife back home if you can believe it! They never had kids, but had dogs and cats (same thing really :), so she takes good care of him in our absence. I didn't want him in a storage locker...the idea of it made me way too sad!

We have the ashes of our first heart dogs, Sophie, mine, and Fergus, Roger's here right with us. Some people say..euuuu, but they are with us! My sister was creeped out last year when she slept in our bed with Soph right next to her on the small mantel. lol

hahaha yes @swedegis, some people just don't get it, but I understand completely. I used to continue to talk to Max all the time in his vase 😂

Awww it's kind of you to make a memory box. It's always hard losing a loved fur family.

Enjoy your travels. Xx

Thank you! It is. I'm hoping it will give him healing.

Nice to know you're enjoying your day, Sheila! Would love to see that memory box soon.

Thankyou, I'll be posting it soon!!

Nice post, Sweetie! Where's the smile in the selfie? LOL!

I was being a "serious" artist..lol lol

You got me hankering for bacon and eggs now, do you actually live here I am sorry if I missed out on that, the reason I ask is I have much admiration for people who have this lifestyle, sometimes I wish I could also just downsize and live in a small self contained RV or tiny house.

Bacon and eegs and outdoors!!! Downsizing was at first tough then it became..oh what the heck, toss it. Kept "stuff" in storage for 3 years then last year that got tossed! It's freeing!! (Then there are times you buy stuff and try and find a place for said stuff that will soon need to be tossed) Keep the thought, it's a nice lifestyle.
