Having FUN with Adobe Fuse and Mixamo

in #art6 years ago (edited)

The creative mind lives in a whole new adventure! Its an excursion into the vast expanse of the imagination!

Recently, I joined up with Adobe Ceative Cloud (Adobe CC) to expand by creative repertoire in the world of digital art. Among the many products in the field was one called AdobeFuse.

Fuse allows you to add from a range of 3D characters, change features and props and then send to an online rigging site called Mixamo where a digital "skeleton" is placed inside the character allowing it to be animated.

At the end of this post is a 5 minute video of some preset animations where one can play around with movements in the figure and watch it do all sorts of fun actions. These can be combined to create the needed animation sequence for your project.

Of course, you can do the same for your own 3D characters and use the animations in games or movies.

The character can also have custom animations added once the skeleton has been rigged!

The result is fascinating!

One: In Fuse, you are presented with a screen and all the pre-set faces are there to select.

Two: A 3D model of the face is placed on the screen ready to have "skin" added!

Three: There y' go! - Freaky!!

Four: Then an appropriate torso is added to the head....

Five: ...and, legs and arms, obviously!

Six: A range of customizations can be employed to make the model unique, like this "angry" look...

Seven: ...or a "goofy" face!

Eight: Then a range of clothes and accessories can be added to give the model a unique look. I felt she should look like this...

Nine: Finally the model is exported to Mixamo, where the skeleton is added and she is ready to be animated!

In the following video from my YouTube channel (YouTube was added so I can include some music!), I play around with some animation presets that bring my lady to life! What a blast this was! Check this out!!

I hope you enjoy this as much as I did!!

You could make the dancing baby meme all over again.

very true!

Enjoyable, captivating and fascinating. I kept wondering what was missing then I realised the face was expressionless - its amazing how our facial expressions add more life to action. 1 enjoy your posts. Upvoted.

Yes @sesises, In 3D software, the head can be animated separately. So one can have it talking or singing while dancing. It's quite amazing!
