a. Explain the social and industrial roles of agriculture in your country, sighting one of the main grown crop.

In my dear country Nigeria agriculture have been playing a vital role in the economy for decades now,
It has been providing livelihood for millions of Nigerians across the country, also generating millions of job opportunities, this is the very main reason why agriculture have remained the foundation of the Nigerian economy.

One of the main grownd crops in Nigeria is rice rice is the most consumable grains in the nation, rice has become a increasingly impossible crop over the years. The more rice performance increase the more it will increase income in both rurals and urban area as the demand is increasing overtime.

b. How has this main grown agriproduct helped in reducing poverty and as well promote rural development in your country

Rice growth production has increased rapidly overtime this has really help to improve global food security contributing greatly to poverty alleviation.

The production of rice is very crucial to the rural development because it generates more income and create thousands or more job opportunities.

c. What are the main challenges facing your country's top crops (e.g., cocoa, palm, maize, wheat, rice, etc.) in terms of economic impact?

Rice, beans, maize, cassava, Cocoa, Etc.
The following crops are the top crops in Nigeria and the main challenge is:

Inflation chemicals and fertilizer prices has skyrocket affecting farmers with low capital also making farm products expensive.

Climate change extreme temperature flood and drought can prevent crops from growing and even reduce yield

Land degradation some human activities like poor drainage system and mismanagement of erosion has pollute and degrade the quality of soil and land utility.

d. What current or past government initiatives are boosting agricultural productivity in your country?"

Currently we have Food And Agriculture Organization (FAO) in nigeria

The government do provide more financial support programs, granting loans to support agriculture, budgetary transfer that are finance by taxpayers, subsidies granted on farm input to reduce the cost of agriculture production.

e. What solutions can enhance agricultural productivity and growth in your country?

Both the government and the farmers can positively enhance agricultural productivity if the conduct regular soil fertility tests also improving fertilizer use connecting extension agents with research institutions.

Conclusion agriculture have been a great support system of livelihood creating so many jobs opportunities also providing raw materials for foods, i encouragement everyone to support Agriculture because in one way or the other every living being gets to benefit from it.
