I haven't tried skipping rope for more than a minute non stop. Either I get too tired right away or my legs would hurt. But they say our body can take on almost anything. It's our mind we have to convince. I'm wanting to start convincing my brain that I can skip rope for more than one minute. 😎
The key is stretching/warming up before you start - you could do serious damage if you skip without prepping! Skipping along to your favourite songs also helps, I started at 3 minutes which was painful but now I've gone up to 5 so like you say, our bodies can take on more than we think!
I tried nonstop skipping for two minutes today. My heart rate disagreed with me. Lol. But I know with constant practice - and stretching - I'll get to 5 minutes nonstop. Cheers to stronger rope skipping!
