Steem Basic Income is a social experiment to bring a basic income to as many Steemians as possible. Members join by sponsoring others into the program. Steem Basic Income is delivered through providing regular upvotes to member content.
Steemitboard Achievements?
We've all seen the @steemitboard comments with achievement milestones. I really appreciate the gamification and regular notification of milestones achieved. We noticed that after our full automation release in December, our pace for hitting milestones really picked up.
With any luck we will get a nice big milestone notification comment on this very post! But if we miss and it hits in a day or two, well... that's nothing to sneer at either.
How Many Accounts?
For historical reasons, we spread out our voting across 10 'pool' accounts, plus a supplemental 'booster' account that is more discretionary. After automation, we didn't see any reason to consolidate, and there are still good scaling and security reasons to keep things somewhat distributed. It also makes looking at achievements a fun challenge, since we have to check achievements across all the accounts.

Enrollment
If you want to get involved, or to increase the level of basic income that you receive, enrollment is pretty straightforward:
Just send 1 STEEM to @steembasicincome. Include the name of a Steemian to sponsor in the transaction memo (preceded by @). You and the person you sponsor will each receive 1 unit in the program. You can sponsor any active Steemian (except for yourself), it does not have to be a current member.

The official currency for enrollment is STEEM. If we choose to accept SBD without refunding it, you do not receive extra value for it.

Too many metrics to be able to track accordingly but definitely in the right direction to show the strength of the community and the ecosystem!

I definitely do not track all of these on a regular basis. I enjoy seeing the milestones roll in, but most of these are not mission critical and they don't get daily attention from me.
Looks like 100 million mvests or orca status between all accounts!

Question 1 is how many, and question 2 is where would we rank based on that (relative to other accounts) if all 609000 votes were made from a single account. You can check rankings on SteemitBoard.

If you post again before that amount is replenished, your next upvote will be smaller. Our minimum upvote for posts is $0.012. Your balance accumulates until a minimum upvote can be delivered with 20% of your pending balance.

The primary reason for the timing of this celebration is because we just passed 600k total upvotes delivered and are about to hit 100k from the primary (most visible) account.
