Plumeria obtusa is a species of the genus Plumeria, widely cultivated for its ornamental flowers and fragrant odor, the tree grows to a height of 3.0–4.6 m (10–15 ft). Rarely, individuals can grow to 7.6 m (25 ft). The flowers are white with a yellow throat and each has five petals. Fragrant flowers bloom in clusters. The leaves are dark green, glossy, and up to 20 cm (8 in) long. They are ovoid, or teardrop shaped.
