The Beauty of Baiturrahman Mosque

If you have heard of the Baiturrahman Mosque in the capital of Banda Aceh, it's the most beautiful mosque in Aceh. Not only knows as it's beauty, the history written of this mosque is a witness the struggle of Acehnese people in the past. In the courtyard of this mosque also Major General JHR Kohler was killed after being hit by an Acehnese sniper bullet.

The incident was the impact of the attitude of the great Dutch general that stormed and burned the grandest mosque the pride of the people of Aceh at that time.
