I've tried a ton of ginger drinks and this isn't cheap but it totally cured my stomach ache, for sure

I wonder if using minced ginger—the kind that's sold in little bottles, is as good as fresh ginger?
I tried that before, I stuck some in one of those metal mesh tea balls.....tasted bad, added sugar ...did the trick
