Neymar: I'm not sad to leave Barcelona

Brazilian footballer Neymar da Silva, who has just moved to Paris Saint-Germain, said he was not saddened by Barcelona's departure during the summer transfer period.

At a news conference on Friday, Neymar, 25, said: "I do not feel any sadness or pain to leave Barcelona."

"The moment I made the decision to join Paris Saint-Germain came a few days before the official announcement."

"I came to Paris in search of more titles, and the transfer of Saint Germain came at the right time," Neymar said.

"Paris is a charm," Neymar concluded his remarks at the press conference.

"We did not contract Neymar for revenge against Barcelona for trying to include Firati," said Qatari club owner Nasser Al Khulaifi.

"We have not broken the rules of fair financial play and are ready to provide all documents relating to the inclusion of Neymar."

Crowds gathered around the club to celebrate the signing of Neymar, where they remained until the end of the press conference.

Paris Saint-Germain on Thursday signed his contract with Neymar for five seasons in a deal worth 222 million euros to take the top of the world's most expensive players.
