The most widely written story about the origin of tea is the story of Emperor Shen Nung who lived around the year 2737 BC. Emperor Shen Nung is famous not only as an Emperor but also called The Divine Healer (The Healer of the Divine).

The story of tea discovery by the Emperor was also very unintentional when the first tea leaves of the tea plant in the garden of Emperor Shen Nung fell into the hot water being cooked by the Emperor. When the tea leaves are brewed with hot water, the delicious aroma immediately appeared to make the Emperor very tempted to drink it. Not only the delicious aroma, the spicy and bitter taste caused by the tea leaves is also very favored by the Emperor because it is believed to make the body fresher and according to Emperor Shen Nung's research, tea drinks can cure some diseases. Since then, Emperor Shen Nung has often drunk tea and since then tea has become very popular throughout China.
