Steemit Sunday #5 - 9 Deadly Diseases That Changed Mankind
Damn, this is a relief. Finally a video that I am 90% happy with. Because I was travelling and didn't have the right equipment, the trailers that I was putting up on YouTube in past weeks were of sub par quality at best. I finally got a decent webcam this week (along with a bunch of Steemit T-shirts btw, which you will soon be able to get jealous off!) and I am pretty happy with the result. Just this week, I have also published the trailer that we normally ONLY put up on youtube, on Dtube. Just to try and give everyone a better idea of what I am doing and also because I am open to answering and listening to your questions and suggestions! You can check it out here:
New Development
In the past I have tried to explain how World5list and Angelo's channel @theywillyou have very different view velocities. The World5list videos tend to not do so well early on, but a good amount of them pick up momentum after a while. This probably has something to do with YouTube's algorithm. Because we want these trailers, in which we direct traffic to Steemit, to do well, we are talking to some larger channels of people close to us and starting either this week or next week (depending on how fast these talks develop), we should be getting more traffic directed to these trailers. By getting likes, comments and sometimes even being featured on at least 2 channels with over a million subscribers, we should be able to gain more momentum with these videos!
We (@theywillkillyou and myself) are also going to start a YouTube channel that is solely dedicated to promoting Steemit and Dtube. I will talk more about this in a post sometime next week. So stay tuned!
This was never going to be easy, but by learning, improving, adjusting and continuing to expand on this concept I am convinced that this will eventually turn into something great that will be very beneficial to the Steemit platform as a whole!
