Sailing YouTubers, Sailing Mischief, were on St Martin during hurricane Irma
I tried telling you in my last post this was going to be a juicy story. It has turned out to be exactly that.
Most of the island appears to be destroyed. Barbuda, the island hit before St Martin, had major damage to 90% of buildings. I have not seen official numbers for St Martin but I image it will be similar.
Sailing Mischief's boat appears to be a total loss. At the very end of the last live stream, she says, "The boat is... Not in one piece... Or here any more." as it cuts off. Seeing pictures of the marina, I'm not surprised.
Their YouTube channel should be very interesting in the following weeks. Consider this my second heads up.
