Project Arepa to take away in Mérida
I am currently a student of the School of Nutrition and Dietetics "Dr. José María Bengoa "of the ULA (University of the Andes) in the city of Mérida-Venezuela, as many of you will know the situation in my country Venezuela we are in a crisis, It is a non-profit organization and the main objective of this project is to provide a nutritionally complete meal to Venezuelans who are in a street situation, with a typical meal such as the AREPA, which includes the three main sources that provide energy such as carbohydrates, proteins and to increase caloric intake, fats. It should be noted that the full daily caloric requirement is not covered, but the idea is to provide a main meal in exchange for drawing hope and lots of smiles.
Some time ago I went up two full posts where the initiative of the project is much better explained, those who support us and their phases so I will leave them here(Spanish):
We had time without performing this task due to lack of organization, but without a doubt, the situation is more worrying every day, the increase of people eating from garbage in the streets at any time of the day is observed, it is necessary to note that not only you can see do street dwellers but they are joined everyday people who have a job, but that before the crisis they do not have enough to eat or they prefer to leave their salary so that their children eat.
In this opportunity I want to invite you to our day of collection of supplies, will be in the city of Mérida Avenue Las americas shopping center Rodeo Plaza level 1 from 2 to 7pm on February 18 (Sunday)
