Like, Do You Even Yoga Bruh...?
I hear so many people talk about the importance of doing yoga with an instructor. I innerstand and agree with the benefits, but disagree with the importance of it.
I'm told it's because some people might hurt themselves while attempting advanced positions and poses. Which is where I'm internally reminded that we all already know yoga. Not just humans, but there's a reason why so many poses are named after animals.
All living beings practice this art of energy transmission through the physical body.
For those who are interested in yoga, but may not have the means to go to classes- or simply choose not to make it a group activity, I suggest observing ducks and other birds who raise one leg to do the tree pose, or cats and dogs who mimic the poses named after them when they stretch.
Start by closing your eyes and stretching in different positions. Between stretches, your body will instinctively align itself, and create a large mudra, channeling energy through you. Stay in positions which stretch- not strain.
The stretch gives you clarity of the mind through calm, deep breathing. As opposed to a strain, which is the ego trying to force the body to limits it may not have reached yet.
The more you focus on your breath, the more your mind can relax and feel every inch of your physical body... catapulting you into the depths of your entire being and truly facing yourSELF in different positions.
The benefits of yoga are endless, but more than anything I personally appreciate the INternal flexibility it offers towards life, as the electricity comes through each of my cells.
It's not about stretching, hype, or being as flexible as possible. It's about feeling your body.. to the point where time stops..
The daily pressure placed on the body needs a release other than a sexual one..
Yoga allows the mind to stop racing, and instead, enjoy a harmonious jog into silent emptiness.
The beauty of it all is that (like everything else in life) you choose what to use this tool for. There's yoga for building strength, relaxation, deep stretch, meditation, playful acro-yoga.. etc..
As always, the key is to listen to your body.
YouTube may offer good videos, but playing and communicating with your body is the fun part of exploring life's experiences. Take your time, find your own rhythm through your own pace.
Stay Calm & Yoga
Related to yoga.... but I recently found that there's a Yoga company that operates Yoga studios that recently went public. It's called Yogaworks! Seems if people are getting more interested in this health trend.
It's not a trend though ;) It's been around as long as time..
Amazing content, amazing pictures... and damnit, i need to start stretching!!
You migth like to read this (maybe): Your video with Jeff helped me to take the decision to decrease A LOT my meat consumption. Its being almost one month eating meat just in the weekends, when i used to eat almost everyday.

PD. please give us more content soon, i came a little late to vote you, but now im following.
Ahhh funny enough I’ve got my own practice downpact ... I’m a teacher too but this resonates with me because not enough teachers preach about listening to your body ... literally 2 days ago I went to a kundalini class that felt more like boot camp and the right side of my body spasmed and I’ve had to get massage every day ... not cool! It also made me angry that I went to pay for a class when I already have a solid practice ... so I don’t think you need a teacher and I happen o love YouTube, home practice is the best practice! And you’re able to learn at your own speed!! Love this thanks for sharing sister ... didn’t know you were on here I’ll follow for sure xo
Oh sweet! Will follow you too ❤ and thank you so much for sharing that, it helps to hear it from a yoga teacher 😉🙏
I'm just a pineapple head here. You don't seem to post much. We spend just as much time on discord, we would love to have you around there where chat chat is possible. I'm gathering all the people who don't really get too sucked into the labels. Slowly building a new culture here
