Want to be Young Ageless? Try Doing This Facial Exercise
Yoga faces may sound unfamiliar, however, recent research finds that the 'sport' face is capable of making women look 3 years younger.
Yoga facial aka yoga facial is designed to increase the size of the muscles that make facial skin tighter, reduce wrinkles and certainly look younger.
Although many do not believe this, but recent research has shown that daily facial exercises can really reduce the signs of aging in middle-aged women.
Experiments conducted by researchers from Northwestern University, Chicago, found that by starting a routine facial training program with a duration of 30 minutes for 20 weeks, the participants looked 3 years younger than their original age.
The experiment involved 27 women between the ages of 40-65 years. The women performed 32 different facial exercises with each duration of about 1 minute during the experiment.
Other movements involve smiles without showing teeth. Then, the experts were asked to estimate the age of all participants before and after the study. The result, experts who predicted women aged 50 years before the study turned into 48 years after the study.
"Assuming the findings are confirmed in larger studies, people now have a cheap and safe way to look younger than using cosmetics or other anti-aging treatments," said lead researcher Dr. Murad Alam, a professor of dermatology at the University.
Yoga facial was first developed by a yoga teacher in New York named Annelise Hagen in 2007.
Since then, this 'sport' has become popular and now many professionals are doing it. In fact, there is a facial fitness studio that can be a reference for those who want to learn and practice this sport.
