Youtuber For My Students: FightMediocrity
Fight Mediocrity is, as far as I know, the first significant youtube channel about personal development putting book summaries on comic like animations.
FightMediocrity is a very authentic channel. The author tells in some of his videos his personal storry beside the book summary. As his vita is quite impressive, getting from post soviet, more or less failed state to become succesful in the USA.
He developped his channel recently beyond book summaries and lets meaningful authors speak themselves in his videos.
The Topics are well mixed between learning, social competence, productivity and some more.
I specially like the idea, that this channel might encourage some students to read more books. Specially books that are non fiction.
FightMediocritiy's degree of monetarisation is moderate. They use adwords (the youtube advertisements) and have rarely sponsors.
One of my favorite videos I want to specially recommend is the book summary of "Antifragile" by Nassim Taleb for its deep philosophic meaning.
Will you recommend FightMediocrity to your students, too?
