Yemen war: 26 killed in fierce fighting in Hodeidah
The Arab Emirates has admitted that four Arab Emirates soldiers and 22 Hutihiy rebels have been killed in attacks by the main port city of Hadidih, Saudi Arabia.
The media said that the main battle was organized in the airport area in the south of the city.
This is the first attempt by a Saudi-led alliance to capture a secure security city in Yemen.
About 80 million people in the war-torn country are at risk of starvation, and coastal city's rebels have the greatest relief.
In the region's hospitals, 22 Hutti rebels were killed.
It has been said from the alliance that on Wednesday 18 air strikes have taken place in Hodeidah for Houthi's position.
Houthian rebels have called for attacking missiles at a warship; Although the information could not be confirmed.
Analysts think this might be the worst battle since the civil war started in Yemen. Four hundred thousand people in the city can be severely damaged.
Coalition spokesman Colonel Turki al-Maliki said they wanted to avoid land wars in front of Huti rebels to keep them free from the loss of civilians.
Turkish al-Maliki told al-Hadith television that their aim is to capture the main road to the airport, seaport and the capital city of Sanaa.
