The largest miner yearn.finance sent $1.4 million worth of tokens to Binance
The largest miner of the DeFi project yearn.finance sent 100 YFI tokens to the Binance exchange, thus forcing market participants to think about their future.
YFI has become one of the most notable crypto assets this year. In September, it rose to highs around $44,000. Since then, the price has adjusted to the current $14,000, but with a capitalization of $415 million, YFI is still among the largest tokens from the field of decentralized Finance.
The cost of yfi sent by the miner to Binance is $1.4 million, which makes this transaction quite ordinary against the background of other cryptocurrency movements recorded daily by the Whale Alert service. However, the limited issue of YFI of 30,000 tokens and their low availability on the market due to concentration in other "farm" projects create conditions where 100 YFI can potentially be enough to have a significant impact on the market.
In the past, this miner has already made similar transfers to Binance from other linked addresses. There is still a possibility that tokens are moved not for sale, but at the request of the exchange to ensure market-making activity, so that users can enter and exit positions with minimal slippage.
