Security reports in Rivers State, Nigeria
The spate of violent crimes in Rivers State remains high and may persist in the short-medium term based on trend analysis and historical antecedent. Various communities in the State continue to witness violent cult attacks with severe casualties occasioned by rivalry and territorial supremacy. Armed robbery/kidnap-for-ransom also subsists despite sustained raids on identified criminal hideouts and hotspots by security operatives.
