XVG March Crowdfunding Event

Well the Verge community seemingly pulled off the impossible raising over 75 million XVG in just a few days time. The intention of the campaign was to raise enough XVG to lock in a partnership with very big player, that would transform the future of Verge. With the help of the TokenPay partnership and the generosity and commitment of the community Verge is in a better position now no matter what the outcome of the crowd funding is.

Let's put it this way if the funds only go toward the continued development of Verge I would be more than happy, but I suspect many in the community would cry foul given the amount of hype. Still I think this bodes well for the currency and the community in general. That said, the campaign just completed and twitter/telegram are exploding with eager hodlers wanting more information. Needless to say it's going to be a rough night sleep for all involved especially if the announcement fails to meet market expectations. As of right now it is pure speculation, and there are plenty of buyers in the market hoping for a real doozie.

I remain cautiously optimistic about this announcement, but overall this campaign has assured me that my bullish position on XVG will pay off in the long run even if this is just the shadow of things to come. Not much analysis to add at the moment, I will update this blog soon after the announcement is made - come what may.
