RE: Would You Sell Your Name For Some Token?

in #xaos7 years ago (edited)

This is a great concept for the coin maker's. It sort of fits in with the old "un-marketing" principals where consumer's become the marketing. I remember another coin (i have the name on my laptop i will dig it out) which asked users on twitter to download the mobile wallet, retweet and like a post. Following this they will send you free coins. It was great for them because i then read another article about how the wallet was one of the most downloaded aps that week (with no mention of the tweets). This also had a knock on effect on the general popularity of the coin. I am ashamed to say i also downloaded the mobile ap but didnt receive any coins lol I think its because i didnt retweet lol.

Back to your original question @ervin-lemark.
I would really have to believe in the tech and i think to show support for a project i believed were in line with my ambitions then yes especially if it was simply a case of putting a # next to my name. When i was introduced to Steem via @kus-knee i spent a few days researching the blockchain which is how i got the name Bit-SP. Bit was to show my support for the initial Bitcoin Blockchain that had got me interested in the first place and the SP after Steem Power which at the time i thought was a term being used by the community to show support for Steem and not a product of the company itself lol.

Thanks for sharing this post.
