Looking back, I realized the source of my pains, my bitterness, my worries, my fears and my lack, and they subtly have emerged from me unconsciously desiring to be something, someone, that I am not.
The fight to meet up with a perceived status or standard, the pursuit of a happiness that morphs, thereby eluding me often of its true form, the cry to be heard when you can't even hear yourself, and the strive to live a life beyond your means, all in joint forces, plague your very soul till you're sapped and drained of every single energy left within.
And the time came when I withdrew from the crowd. When I learned to be at peace in my own shell, with my own self. When I opened up and freed my soul to love without biases. To stay quietly with myself without judging every move I make and words I say. It was here I shut the doors, pulled down the curtains, turned my lights down low, and watched the flicker within grow into a conflagration. You cannot give what you don't have.
In all, I have learned to define my own success. Frustration is allowing society define your own success. It's not a place. It's a journey. It's not a destination, it's a process. Nobody ever arrives at a success where they no longer wish to continue. No! That is why it's a journey.
Where are you right now? What are you thinking about? Listen, there's nothing wrong with you. Although you have to understand that change comes with pain. There are certain things that just won't change until you allow yourself bask in the process. Give careful thoughts to those things . If they are induced by people's seeming "SUCCESS", and not by your desire to BE, to EXPLORE, to ADVENTURE, to TRY, to EXPERIMENT, to EXPERIENCE, then my friend, you need to review what you've stored as priorities within you. Have a beautiful week.
