BREXIT - What it does mean for me?
What do you think this word means?
Well it does mean that the Great Britain will leave the European community. The islands will always be there but they will leave the Europe. The day after the referendum several British were surprised about the outcome. Nobody was even thinking this could happen.
What is really changed so far?
People become more extremist, a poor Polish man was killed in Suffolk just because Polish. Racism phenomenons were seen all over the country.
What about us?
Foreigners become stressed about this situation, people were feeling not welcomed, I felt not welcomed but I am welcome to pay the tax every single month since few years. Things are changing, the Brexit is becoming an actual thing that NEEDS to be done. Thinking of giving free citizenship for Europeans already living in UK since 5 years will help us? I have no idea...but it is weird that we have to feel not welcomed in the country where you are working since years, the country where you pay taxes on regular bases.
Will see what will really happen... but so far the feelings on not welcome people is remarkable.

I'm an EU migrant in the UK since over 10 years. I've been everywhere (except N.Ireland) and I've never ever experienced or seen any racism or hate towards me or any EU migrant I know. Polish people in particular are highly regarded cos they work hard, I only hear about all this hate towards EU migrants in the media, which I do not trust.
I hope Brexit keeps freedom of movement for europeans cos that's the best thing about the EU. It's good also for Brits so they can move to sunnier places if they want (and many do).
Apart from that I don't care about the EU.
To conclude: let's hope for free trade and free movement deal. anything else not needed.
I am EU migrant too since 4 years. I know of people that have been treated in a bad way saying that they want to deal only with British veterinarian and not with foreigners. I have seen video on youtube where argues were starting from nothing just because not British. In the same time I can tell you that so fare the people I have met, have treated me as a good friend.
So there is a bit of everything... but the extremists... especially people on benefit are becoming more and more extremist.
The Sikh community in particular is very well spoken of here, I really want evidence because it just seems like Brexit scare mongering to me.
Brixit is a disaster. It has divided the community. It has led to hate, racism and stupid leaders like Nigel Farage calling it independence day.
Brixit led the country to an untimely general election last month. The weaker Tory government won't survive and there seems to be another general election very soon. This has cost us a lot of public money and time.

Well I ( in Texas ) was very excited when the Brexit concluded. Remember the fisherman who can't fish their native waters, and I'm sure you can go across the line finding people from all industries who can do their job any longer because of all the forms and restrictions imposed on them by the EU.

And furthermore, I remember how disappointed I was when i heard it would take some time before anything would happen, i think a year or something, I was crushed because I was pulling for a real independence of those people who's basically had their water, lands and jobs stolen from them by a machine no one could stop but they did it anyway, only to be tricked by some small print.
All so sad from my view, but I know the British people will pull through, I just hope it's into Freedom.

you are absolutely right. The Idea of being part of a united continent like USA was delighting everyone. The purpose was cool... the actual fact show that we can't give the control of our country to someone that want conquer instead of progress together.
I agree. European Union is not good at all from some points of view. My country, Romania also has a lot to suffer because of it...
Italy is fucked up after being part of Europe
@webdeals Italy is fucked up period, after living there for 25 years owning a small business, they made everything so complicated, red tape is a joke! now that the UK is out or will be when the things get finalised, i wonder what will happen with the passport situation ? up until now i have only ever travelled with in Europe with my Italian ID card, even that is going to cause pain as trying to get hold of the Italian embassy in the UK to make an appointment for a passport renewal is a near impossible task and when you do it is at least 3 months waiting list, to make things worst, which is so typical of the Italian's is, if you you are in need of an emergency passport, they will pull their finger out, for extra cash, personlly i find that disgusting! i can see my self having to change my citizenship and get myself a UK passport, we shall see what happens
well we are in the same situation... you will need to do a passport. will see what will happen next but I suggest you to do it asap
not just Italy even many EUNO'S states has been fucked up due to this issue, but EUNO still getting their balances! lol
I think that Britain will lose its power at least and other countries will hate Britain
it could happen... just check how weak is the Sterling now
That's why I am leaving UK. Don't want to wait for last minute and be caught forced to leave unprepared.

I remember the day i woke up and whole london was in shock, when brexit happened, nobody expected that results, people were in shock for several weeks to be realy honest..... upvoted followed thanks :)
Silly me I wanted to leave Europe. I wanted to give a push or a punch to the European community to let them understand that they can't do whatever they want just to bring money to their pockets.
