The life of modern man has become so busy that he has got no time left to enjoy the beauty that is present all around him at all times. The poet is expressing his sorrow at this tragedy of modern man’s Life is a thing to be enjoyed fully and not only passed in business and preoccupations. One must fint time to see as well as appreciate the beauty of nature.
It is sweet poem that points to very important deficiency in the life of the modern man namely the lack of interest in nature and the beauty of nature. Nature is so kind that it has opened all its treasures of beauty for man but man (the modern man’ so to speal) has become so much absorbed in has financial man material preoccupation that he does not find any time to stand and star to see object of nature in all their beauty and to enjoy the same. The poet laments at this sad alot.
Our life has become full of cares and worries. We are all the time busy in material pursuits and it is a sad fact of our life that we left no spare time in our lives when we should stand, without any business jumping over our mind, and enjoy the any time to stand beneath the green, shady tres and see all around us in a care free manner like a cow or a sheep.We are unable to notice such beautiful and delicate beauties of nature as the hiding of its nuts in grass by a squirral.
We do not have any time left to visit beautiful streams which shine in the day light as beautifully and elegantly as the skies at night shine by twinkling stars. We are unable to see the very soul and spirit of beauty which is always and everywhere dancing and smiling for giving us enjoyment. Nature is smiling with its eyes as well as its lips. It is dancing. It is onlye our preoccupation that does not leae us enough time to enjoy all that
In the end, tha poet draws a conclusion form the foregoing lines. it is a sad conclusion. He says that if we do not have any time very poor. We may be otherwise a rich fellow, yet we are not at our disposal to enjoy nature and its beauty for while, or life is mentally and spiritually rich if we are unable to enjoy nature and are always busy in our material preoccupation.
