The Four D's of SUCCESS!!!

in #writing6 years ago
In life, we all have dreams and aspirations that's been pushing us. In order to be successfully successful, one needs to set goals and strictly adhere to these goals before success can come. Success doesn't come by chance or luck but through hard-work. Success is equally centered on this four D's that we'll be discussing below.

Desire

Desire, simply put is a driving force towards your set goal. It is also synonymous to "want". What's on your mind when you wake up?

How can you achieve your goal? What steps do you need to take? What are the directions to achieving your set goal(s)?

These aren't rhetorical questions. Answering these questions properly will lead you to the right path in finding the desire for success. It's always advisable to write down our dreams, not just writing them down though, but to write down the steps needed in achieving this set dream. That is the first step towards achieving your dream. After mapping out the steps needed, implementation is the next thing, it's the gap between success and failure. Now that it's evident that you have identified your desire and the steps you need to take to achieve it, you will need to implement the remaining key factors of success.

Dedication

Dedication is a state of being devoted and diligent. In other to achieve success, one needs to be dedicated to the goals he/she has set in other to not miss the road. Wake everyday with purpose and intent, set aside a reminder that you have set goals that must be accomplished. Remain loyal to the set goal and it's then left to you to make sure the set goal is accomplished. Dedication is a very vital key to attaining success. Take a look at the most successful men today, they made dedication their watchword and I presume they still do.

Determination

It is your determination that will trigger your effort even when you don't feel like putting it in. It is about doing what you have to do, whether it pleases you or not, whether it is conducive or not. It is the driving force that makes you strive for success. Without Determination, I'll doubt the success of some successful men. "Wake up with determination. Go to bed with satisfaction" and greater things will be achieved. When one is determined to do something, there will be constant re-occurrence of stumbling blocks, getting over these blocks is moving on the right track to success.

Discipline

Abraham Lincoln faced a myriad of personal tragedies throughout his life. He lacked formal education and experienced many failed ventures to boot. He was not an overnight success. But through determination and self-discipline he exemplified the heights one can achieve with the power of character.

-Abraham Lincoln

Simply put, Discipline is choosing between what you want now and what you want most. In order to attain success, you must choose between what you want and what you want the most. There's no in-between in making this sort of decision.

Conclusion

Conclusively, the four D's listed above are very vital and important in pursuing success. Need you be reminded that success doesn't come overnight, success comes as a result of hard-work. If the aforementioned points are being taken to heart and strictly adhered to, it won't be a far journey to anyone searching for success.
