“We don’t have time to dwell on this now. We have to pack for Egypt. Remember, we’re going as tourists. Just pack touristy things. Most of what else we need will be provided.”

“Well how are we going to get Frank and Melissa’s thing-a-ma-jig there?”

“Greaves is arranging that. He ‘knows a guy.’ Remember? I just hope it’s waiting for us when we get there. It doesn’t take any high octane speculation to guess they plan on testing the Death Star before New Year’s Eve to make sure it works.”

“Well, if we’re gonna play tourist, be sure to pack that Desert Rats outfit. I want a picture of you by the pyramids in that.”

“Very funny. We’re preparing for the most serious and dangerous moments of our lives, and you’re worried about a fashion shoot!”

Georgeanne giggled, composed herself, and then broke out into full on laughter. “I’m sorry Giuseppe. I just can’t help myself. That picture would be one for the history books! Literally!”

He started chuckling himself. “I’ll grant you that, as long as you mean hidden history books. The kind of history we’re involved with doesn’t make the textbooks.”

“That’s for sure.”

“OK, let’s finish going through the correspondence. Fortunately the Christmas break is upon us so we don’t need any excuses to not be here.” He started chortling again, “Isn’t that just everybody’s idea of the ideal Christmas—Fighting the Nazis in Egypt!”

“It’s 1942 all over again!”
