“These are just in from our man in Nevada.” Kammler tossed a pile of aerial photographs in front of Bormann.
Bormann calmly picked them up and examined them as he placed each successive photo on the bottom of the pile. He sat back in his chair and put his fingertips thoughtfully together on his chest.
“How many people all together?”
“From the photos it looks like 20, 25 at the most. A lot of shooting practice going on.”
“What are all those structures they’ve built? They don’t look like your usual outbuildings.”
“One of them is. They’ve expanded the old control center, but we can’t see inside. We’ve carefully studied the rest. Based on the measurements, relative locations, and odd shapes, our best guess is that they’ve duplicated parts of the Giza Plateau. You know what that means.”
“Damn! He’s good. I have to give him that. He’s a regular Allen Dulles.”
“Too bad he’s not as corrupt.”
“You better activate the airborne cell to put a stop to this. Use the Paladins this time, we don’t want any yokels going in there. We can’t risk a land assault attracting attention. Our friends at Area 51 can provide the choppers. They’ll blend right in with the regular traffic.”
“My thinking exactly.”
